Accusative (Part 4) | Greek Grammar That Makes Sense
🎙️ TRANSCRIPT
Hello everyone, I’m Thanasis and welcome back to Better Greek.
We’ve already studied the 3 usages of the Accusative Case.
In the 1st Part you learned how to use the accusative after prepositions saying where you’re from and where you live in Greek.
📍 For example:
Είμαι από την Ελλάδα και μένω στην Αθήνα.
I’m from Greece and I live in Athens.
In the 2nd Part we saw how to use the Accusative when talking about the “what”/ object of your sentence
🍽️ For example:
Αγαπάω την Ελλάδα και τον μουσακά!
I love Greece and mussaka!
In the 3rd Part you learned how to use the Accusative using time phrases or periods of time!
For example:
Την Κυριακή τρώω μουσακά και το καλοκαίρι τρώω καρπούζι.
On Sunday I eat mussaka and in the summer I eat watermelon.
📌 Today we’ll learn about the 4th and last usage of the accusative: We’ll talk about frequency! If you want to say how often you do things, you’ll need to use the accusative case.
🎯 By the end of this video, you’ll know exactly how to talk about frequency in Greek. In other words how to reply to someone who asks you:
💬 How often do you work out?
💬 How often do you go to the restaurant?
👉 Let’s get started!
