Knowing the nationalities in Greek is very useful if you want to introduce yourself or meet other people. To help you remember them better, we’ll use some ending patterns—and you’ll be able to master them in no time! In this video, you’ll learn all the main nationalities in Greek and how to use them with examples.

🌍 Nationalities in Greek

Many countries in Greek end in -ια, like:
• Αγγλία (Anglia) – England
• Γαλλία (Ghalia) – France
• Ιταλία (Italia) – Italy
• Ισπανία (Ispania) – Spain
• Πορτογαλία (Portoghalia) – Portugal

As for the nationalities, we’ll use ending patterns, like:
• -ας, -ος, -έζος for men 👨
• -ίδα, -εζα for women 👩
